Sr. Flash Programmer

This is a full time, on-site, salaried Senior Flash Programmer position in New York City paying $125,000 to $145,000 + benefits. Local candidates only. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Thank you.

They seek a detail oriented, passionate, and dedicated Senior Programmer to join the team to assist with programming and related tasks working with their catalog of high quality web games, social games & mobile games. Responsibilities:

* Build great, flash-based single and multi-player games

Requirements:

* Mastery in Flash Development:
o 5+ years of Flash / Flex programming
o Expert knowledge of ActionScript 3
o CPU/Memory optimization
o JavaScript/Flash bridging
o Cross-browser compatibility
o Expert knowledge of the Flash IDE, FlashDevelop and/or FlashBuilder
o Flash Animation Techniques - Timeline and/or Scripting
o B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
o Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle
o Demonstrable experience writing scalable and efficient code
o Extensive design and game development experience
o Experience with math and formulas in game environment
o Strong debugging and optimization abilities
o Great eye for motion, design, typography
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Strong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solving
o Ability to concept, brainstorm and come up with unique ideas working off of limited content
o Experience or knowledge of traditional board game, card game, or dice game design
o Sense of humor

Proficiency with:

* HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Objective-C
* JavaScript and jQuery
* Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel

Bonus Points For:

* Presence in the Open Source software community
* Deep understanding of LAMP, Flash, Unix, SQL, Java & Smartfox
* Console, Mobile or Handheld game programming background including published titles
* Experience with developing for iOS and/or Android
* Strong knowledge of game balancing and pacing
