Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Design Engineer for a 12-month contract (Possible Extension) job with a client in Raymond, OH 43067 (Onsite). We’re hiring an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with a strong interest in mechanical design for automotive electrical components.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Type: W2 Only, No C2C Candidate

Education/Technical Requirements:

• Experience in Catia V6 is required.
• BS Degree (ME/EE) with 8 years or more of engineering experience in automotive electrical or interior components.
• 6 years of related experience may be substituted for the required degree.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• In this role, you will be responsible for creating and releasing complex 3D models and layouts using CATIA V6.
• Additional responsibilities include styling design feasibility, cost analysis, strength calculations, material selection, part construction, coordinating activities involved in prototyping, fabricating and manufacturing of assigned products and systems.
• You’ll also collaborate closely on prototyping, fabrication, and manufacturing activities.
