Our client, an esteemed academic hospital in Staten Island, is seeking a skilled Pathologist to join their expanding division. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, CME, malpractice coverage, and a competitive compensation plan. Residents or fellows graduating in the next 12 months encouraged to apply! Job Function: Oversee the PA in the management of grossing for all specimens. Process and review approximately 10,000 specimens annually, including 5,000 biopsies, 4,000 surgical specimens, 800 non-GYN cytology cases, and 10 autopsies. Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes by reviewing workflows, identifying areas for efficiency gains, and implementing best practices for specimen handling and analysis. Collaborate closely with physicians for rapid onsite evaluations, including those with interventional radiology, and participate in both general and specialty tumor boards.
