About the Role

The Special Education ARD Compliance Specialists supports the Special Education Department by assisting with data entry, documentation review, and maintenance of special education records. This position focuses on ensuring ARD and IEP documentation is properly entered, stored, and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Enter ARD and IEP information into the district special education data system.
  • Verify that required ARD documentation is uploaded and archived in student records.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files for special education students.
  • Review records to ensure required documentation such as consent forms, ARD paperwork, and evaluation reports are present.
  • Assist with verifying that special education data matches district student information system and PEIMS records.
  • Identify missing documentation or data errors and notify appropriate campus staff for correction.
  • Assist the Special Education Department with internal file reviews and compliance checks.
  • Support preparation of records for TEA monitoring, audits, and complaint responses.
  • Assist with tracking ARD timelines including annual ARD meetings and reevaluations.
  • Generate reports or gather documentation requested by Special Education leadership.
  • Assist with data entry support for state and federal reporting indicators.
  • Provide clerical support for the Special Education Department including filing, organizing records, and maintaining documentation systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and data entry skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn district student information and special education data systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Skyward and Special Education Project Management systems preferred.

Pay range and compensation package

Compensation Rang: $33,500-$43,660 (Hourly position)
