Electronic Locksmith and Installer
Description
LaForce is looking for a dedicated Electronic Locksmith & Installer to work out of our Troy, MI location. In this hands-on role, you'll be working with mechanical locking systems, doors/frames and associated products while working closely with our customers and SI teams to ensure accuracy and effective use of security solutions. You'll take ownership of daily work orders and see projects through from start to finish. We provide all the tools, training, safety gear, a work vehicle, and cover your travel to job sites. What You'll Do:
- Installing new door hardware and related products, including mechanical and electronic locking systems, ADA door operators, and associated components
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing existing hardware, including re-keying locks, pinning cylinders, and cutting keys
- Removing and replacing existing hardware as part of upgrades or repairs
- Installing and removing wood and hollow metal doors, hollow metal frames, and associated hardware
- Safely operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in the trade
What you'll bring:
- Two or more years of related field experience or training
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical instructions
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
