Neuro ICU Day Shifts Locum-to-Perm Opportunity

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Neuro Critical Care Physician for a locum-to-perm opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This assignment provides daytime coverage in a Neuro ICU within a well-established critical care program supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking consistent ICU coverage with potential for long-term placement.

Schedule Model

• Day shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required (same shift options)
• No call responsibilities

Coverage Needed

• Starting ASAP
• Full-time coverage preferred
• Locum-to-perm opportunity available

Practice Overview

• Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU)
• ICU beds: 42 (not at full capacity)
• Average ICU census: patients per day
• Average admissions: 3 4 per day
• Total hospital beds: 555
• EMR: Epic

Team Structure

• 4 Critical Care Physicians
• 2 Neurocritical Care Physicians
• Collaborative ICU care team

Clinical Scope

• Management of critically ill neuro patients in ICU setting
• Ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive)
• Neurologic monitoring and intervention

Procedures

• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Bronchoscopy
• Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and management
• Ventilation management (ETT, tracheostomy, BiPAP, CPAP)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage ICU patient care and daily rounding
• Evaluate new admissions and develop treatment plans
• Perform required ICU procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICU team
• Ensure high-quality, timely critical care management

Practice Environment

• Established Neuro ICU program
• Collaborative physician team
• Structured daytime schedule with no call
• Strong ICU support staff and resources

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neurology and Critical Care
• Active Florida medical license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Local candidates preferred
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query report required
