Director of Site Supply Chain
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a supply chain executive who wants to make a visible, enterprise-level impact. The Director of Supply Chain will own end-to-end site supply chain performance within a highly technical, capital-intensive manufacturing environment, influencing everything from procurement strategy to production continuity and long-term scalability.
Partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, this role sets the vision and execution model for sourcing, inventory, supplier strategy, and materials flow. You will build a resilient, cost-effective supply chain organization designed to support aggressive growth, margin objectives, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Enterprise Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead and continuously evolve the site's end-to-end supply chain strategy across procurement, sourcing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supplier performance.
- Establish clear governance, policies, and standards aligned with corporate, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide executive leadership with data-driven insights on cost structure, supply risk, capacity planning, and continuity.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Own all site-level sourcing activities, including raw materials, capital equipment spares, MRO, and services.
- Drive measurable cost savings through negotiation, value engineering, and supplier optimization initiatives.
- Lead high-value and long-term supplier negotiations with a focus on commercial strength, flexibility, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with global sourcing counterparts to align on commodity strategies, supplier consolidation, and best practices.
Inventory, Materials & Stockroom Operations
- Define inventory strategies that balance service levels, working capital optimization, and production reliability.
- Ensure strong visibility, accuracy, and governance over raw materials, parts inventory, and alternative stocking programs.
- Establish best-in-class stockroom, warehousing, and material flow processes to support complex, high-mix manufacturing.
Supplier Performance & Risk Management
- Build deep, collaborative partnerships with critical and site-specific suppliers.
- Implement supplier performance frameworks focused on quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and responsiveness.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks including capacity constraints, single-source exposure, and geopolitical factors.
- Oversee performance of major subcontracts and outsourced services to ensure reliability and accountability.
Cross-Functional Impact
- Serve as a trusted partner to Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Production Control, and Operations.
- Collaborate with Finance on spend controls, budgeting, capital planning, and compliance.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve agility, resilience, and overall operational effectiveness.
People Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing supply chain team, with strong succession planning and cross-training.
- Establish clear KPIs, accountability, and performance expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Act with urgency during machine down events, ensuring rapid access to critical spares and materials.
- Drive continuous improvement through lean and best-in-class supply management practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or strategic sourcing within advanced or highly technical manufacturing environments.
- 7+ years of senior leadership experience managing managers and complex, cross-functional organizations.
- Demonstrated success delivering cost reductions, improving inventory turns, and ensuring uninterrupted supply.
- Deep end-to-end expertise across supply chain operations, including material planning, purchasing, logistics (domestic and international), and supplier management.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels and drive decisions that impact profitability and operational performance.
- Strong understanding of capital equipment spares, complex manufacturing supply chains, and global supplier networks.

Compensation for this position is targeting 180-225k. Exact Compensation depends on experience.
