Locations: Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, San Diego, Inland Empire, CA (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $125,000 – $180,000 + bonus
Our client, a nationally recognized civil litigation defense firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate (2+ years) to join its Governmental Entity / Public Agency Defense team in California. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact matters involving public entities and law enforcement liability, within a collaborative and trial-focused environment.
What You'll Work On:
- Defending public entities in matters involving:
- Dangerous condition claims
- Law enforcement liability
- Education-related disputes
- Managing cases from inception through trial
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings
- Handling written discovery and depositions
- Developing and executing litigation strategy
- Communicating directly with clients and ensuring timely reporting
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong discovery, motion practice, and deposition experience
- Excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Strong client communication and case management abilities
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California Bar admission
- Prior law enforcement, military, or criminal defense experience is a plus (not required)

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range of $125,000 – $180,000 + performance-based bonus
