Litigation Paralegal
Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour DOE
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire, Full-Time, Onsite
LHH is partnering with a large national law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal on a contract-to-hire basis to support a busy business litigation practice in Downtown Los Angeles. This role requires a hands-on paralegal with strong trial preparation experience and the ability to manage matters from pleadings through trial. There is strong potential for conversion based on performance and business need.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and post-trial support
- Prepare for trial, including trial binders, witness files, exhibit preparation, and trial logistics
- Independently handle court filings and ensure compliance with deadlines in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and other legal documents
- Organize, maintain, and manage case files and litigation calendars
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
- Support discovery processes
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal; strong business litigation background preferred
- Trial preparation experience required
- Paralegal certification required
- Strong knowledge of California state and federal court filing procedures
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with eDiscovery tools is a plus, not a requirement
