MEP Designer / MEP Engineer

Overview

A growing engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking an MEP Designer / MEP Engineer to join its Plano-based team. This role offers the opportunity to support multidisciplinary projects while working closely with senior leadership in a collaborative and technically focused environment.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, with a strong emphasis on quality, coordination, and delivering projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support MEP system design across a variety of projects
• Provide CAD and BIM production support for engineering teams
• Assist with project setup, workflows, and coordination
• Perform BIM modeling and drafting throughout all project phases
• Manage and maintain AutoCAD and Revit files
• Create and update Revit families and CAD blocks
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and help resolve design challenges
• Provide regular updates to project teams and leadership
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
• Track and report project hours and progress accurately

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (ABET-accredited preferred)
• 1–4+ years of MEP design experience(mechanical/plumbing focus preferred)
• EIT certification or PE license is a plus

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience producing construction documents in an A/E environment
• Ability to create and modify Revit families and CAD dynamic blocks
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
