MEP Designer / MEP Engineer

Overview
A growing engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking an MEP Designer / MEP Engineer to join its Plano-based team. This role offers the opportunity to support multidisciplinary projects while working closely with senior leadership in a collaborative and technically focused environment.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, with a strong emphasis on quality, coordination, and delivering projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Support MEP system design across a variety of projects
- Provide CAD and BIM production support for engineering teams
- Assist with project setup, workflows, and coordination
- Perform BIM modeling and drafting throughout all project phases
- Manage and maintain AutoCAD and Revit files
- Create and update Revit families and CAD blocks
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and help resolve design challenges
- Provide regular updates to project teams and leadership
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
- Track and report project hours and progress accurately
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 1–4+ years of MEP design experience(mechanical/plumbing focus preferred)
- EIT certification or PE license is a plus
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience producing construction documents in an A/E environment
- Ability to create and modify Revit families and CAD dynamic blocks
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
