Occupational Therapist

Our client, a leading and highly respected healthcare system in Texas, is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Waco. This full-time, onsite role supports patient care in an inpatient rehab and acute care setting, helping individuals regain independence and improve daily functioning. This role offers competitive compensation of up to $2,200 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with physical, cognitive, or emotional limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Modify therapy programs and goals based on patient progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and enter charges appropriately.
• Supervise support staff, students, and volunteers as needed.
• Support a patient-centered environment focused on quality care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or acute care required.

Required Skills:

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• BLS certification (AHA required).
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation and acute care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and patient-focused approach.
