Job Description
Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment to support surgical services and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
Operate sterilization equipment according to department policies and AAMI standards
Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of sterile supplies
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of instruments and sterilization processes
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with Operating Room staff and other departments as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within Central Sterile
Requirements
Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPD/Central Sterile)
Knowledge of sterile processing workflows and instrumentation
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Compliance with facility policies and procedures

Certifications
Certification preferred but not required (CRCST / CSPDT / CBSPD - if applicable)
