Position Summary

The warehouse lead is responsible for overall distribution operations including receiving and shipping and supervising and evaluating employees' performance. Additional focus is to be placed on safety regulations along with the efficiency of each operator. The position requires excellent communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:

• Operate forklift for shipment
• Loading and unloading materials
• Dismantle and dispose of A-frame
• Prepare and execute shipping schedules (DTS, LTL, will-call)
• Communicate with consignees and carriers regarding the delivery schedule
• Manage and maintain forklift, propane gas, tools, wood and waste bins
• Manage and maintain company truck (if)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in both office and warehouse
• Record and manage shipment history
• Conduct inventory checks as scheduled
• Receive quotes and arrange shipment through third-party carriers
• Utilize systems such as WMS and TMS
• Aid in building and security maintenance and repair

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience:

• High school diploma
• Forklift experience
• Warehouse laborer experience (2 years)

Knowledge and Skills:

• OSHA 8
• Forklift Driver License for Anode 1
• Ability to speak/write/read Spanish and English preferred
• Advanced forklift operating skills
• Communication
• MS Office
• Time management and organization
• Ability to multitask office and warehouse work
• Ability to work in a team
• Utilization of PDA

Physical Demands:

• Position requires wearing steel-toe shoes, hardhat, vest, and gloves for safety
• Position requires minimal lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Position requires regular and reliable attendance
