Renal Medicine Associates is currently looking to hire a full-time Accounting Clerk. This is a Monday - Friday day shift. We offer a full benefit package which includes, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life, PTO, paid sick time, and 7 paid holidays.

The Accounting Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for processing financial transactions, including check processing, to ensure timely and accurate recording of payments and receipts. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to verify data accuracy and support the accounting team in managing financial records. The Accounting Clerk contributes to the smooth operation of financial processes by adhering to established policies and regulatory requirements specific to the healthcare industry. Ultimately, this position supports the organization's financial health by ensuring that all accounting activities are performed efficiently and accurately.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in check processing or a similar accounting function.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing checks accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and support accurate bookkeeping.
  • Collaborate with other departments to verify billing information and support financial data integrity.
