We are seeking a detail-oriented Nutrition Services Associate to support dietary operations in a hospital setting. In this role, you will assist with meal delivery, food preparation, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition care. This position is ideal for candidates with hospital nutrition experience or those currently pursuing education in nutrition or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, tray assembly, and timely delivery of meals to patients
• Communicate effectively with Registered Dietitians (RDs), nurses, and care teams regarding patient dietary needs
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and ordering of food and supplies
• Maintain accurate computerized documentation using electronic systems
• Follow food safety standards and infection control protocols
• Support nutrition-related services for diverse patient populations (including pediatrics and adults)
• Utilize strong time management skills to meet daily operational needs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's degree required; coursework in nutrition or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nutrition-related experience OR currently enrolled in an approved nutrition program
• Food Safety Certification required at time of hire
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or electronic documentation systems; EPIC preferred)
• Good mathematical and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions or declinations allowed)

Important Details:

• 8-week contract position (extensions possibly)
• Shift is 8 hrs/day shift (11:00 AM-7:00 PM), 40 hrs/week
• Location is New York City, NY 10032
• Pay Range for Locals: $34 - $38 per hour
• Pay Range for travelers: $1,700 - $1,750 per week
