Volt is immediately hiring forConstruction Safety Manager in Monticello, AR.
As a Construction Safety Manager, you will:
- Accountable for manageable behaviors to influence construction safety results
- Ensure that safety is managed to company, construction, and site standards
- Accountable for all safety record keeping including safe work plans, inspections, hot work permits, safe work permits, excavation permits, daily toolbox meeting minutes, all required tickets and permits.
- Assist the project manager, construction manager, and mill safety manager with the development, implementation, and delivery of the project safety program
- Perform site orientations for contractors and other visitors
- Regular monitoring of and contact with the contractors and mill workers
- Perform safety standards, behavior, and housekeeping audits
- Ensure that clients Lockout Standard is followed (Weyco RADAR, & lock on first, off last)
- OSHA required documentation/inspections electrical tools/cords, rigging, mobile equipment, etc.
- Hot work, trenching, confined space, lifting, etc. permit issuing
- Tracking site construction hours by contractor and reporting monthly
- Assist with development of safe work plans
- Assist with development of lockout, JSAs, and SOP documentation
- Assist with incident investigations if an accident occurs
- Assist with pre-start up safety assessment and commissioning plans
- Requires working outdoors to complete inspections and monitor construction activities
This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years experience in Safety Management that must include experience in a construction setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge and/or certification of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910 & 1926) and other applicable standards (NFPA, ANSI, EPA).
- Implement Risk Based Safety Plant for new construction site.
- Strong understanding of risk assessments, JHAs, PTW (Permit to Work), Hot Work, CSE, LOTO, and Excavation processes.
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Proficient in safety audits and inspections, and interpreting trends from leading and lagging indicators.
- Experience with pre-construction safety planning and constructability reviews.
- Understanding of contractor management programs and prequalification processes. (ISN)
- Proficiency with reporting tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Skills:
- OSHA 1910 and OSHA hr or 40hr certificate
- First Aid/CPR and AED Certified.
- Ability to read blueprints
Pay rate : $60- $65 Per hour.
Pay rate offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
