Finance Associate

Our client is seeking a talented and driven mid-to-senior level Finance Associate to join their Global Finance Practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of substantive finance experience and a strong background advising on sophisticated financial transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, market-leading deals within a collaborative, high-performing global team.

Responsibilities:

• Represent and advise clients in a wide range of finance transactions, including syndicated and club deals.
• Work with both bank and non-bank financial institutions, private credit funds, and sponsors on acquisition financings and other leveraged finance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, and related transaction materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas to manage cross-border and multi-jurisdictional deals.
• Support clients with structured finance, CLO, and fund finance transactions as opportunities arise.
• Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of substantive finance experience at a large law firm.
• Demonstrated experience in syndicated and club transactions, with particular exposure to private credit sponsor acquisition financings.
• Experience in structured finance, CLOs, and fund finance is a strong plus.
• Proven track record of working on cash flow lending and other complex finance transactions.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar required.
