Accounting Consultant

About the Opportunity:

We are partnering with an innovative entertainment company seeking a skilled Accounting Consultant to support their team through a critical transition period. This role will focus heavily on revenue recognition and royalty reporting, while also contributing to the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating new systems and evolving processes in a fast-paced environment. Duration: 3+ month contract

Location: San Diego

Compensation: $45–$51/hour

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Scope:

• Manage revenue recognition activities and support royalty-related reporting processes

• Assist with month-end close tasks, including preparation of journal entries and financial reporting

• Work within ERP systems to support accounting workflows

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data

• Review historical workpapers and replicate established accounting processes

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and support reporting needs

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Strong foundation in accounting, including experience with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and navigate ERP systems

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including working with complex spreadsheets and formulas independently

• Experience with revenue recognition and/or royalty reporting is a plus

• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, short-term engagement
