Company Description

Meucci & Company (Meucci) is a consultancy dedicated to leveraging digital development to address significant societal challenges across education, workforce development, economic growth, and equity. With over two decades of experience, Meucci has successfully led innovative projects and impactful programs both in the U.S. and internationally. The organization collaborates with a diverse range of partners, including EdTech companies, corporations, government agencies, K-12 and higher education institutions, and global NGOs. Meucci remains committed to empowering individuals and fostering inclusion through transformative initiatives.

About the Role

Meucci is seeking an experienced senior leader to serve as Principal Investigator/Program Director for a large, multi‑partner initiative focused on AI readiness, workforce capability, and applied technology adoption at a regional scale. Note that this opportunity is currently at the proposal phase.

This role is designed for a leader who is comfortable operating across education, workforce development, employers, and public‑serving institutions, and who brings credibility in managing complex, coordination‑heavy efforts where success depends on alignment and execution rather than direct control.

The PI will provide strategic and operational leadership, steward external partnerships, and guide program design, governance, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Principal Investigator for a major applied AI and workforce initiative
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for program strategy, execution, and outcomes
  • Coordinate across a diverse set of partners (e.g., workforce organizations, colleges, libraries, employers, and public entities)
  • Lead program design, milestones, and implementation planning
  • Guide governance structures, partner roles, and decision‑making processes
  • Represent the initiative in senior‑level external discussions
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring, learning, and continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated leadership experience. Strong candidates will bring some combination of:

  • Prior experience as a PI, Co‑PI, or senior program leader on complex initiatives
  • AT LEAST 8-10 Years EXPERIENCE serving in a similar Program Leadership Role
  • Background in workforce development, education‑to‑employment pathways, economic development, or technology adoption
  • Experience leading multi‑institution, cross‑sector consortia
  • Comfort operating in public, quasi‑public, nonprofit, or higher‑education environments
  • Strong judgment, credibility with institutional partners, and ability to lead without formal authority

Experience with AI, emerging technologies, or digital workforce initiatives is highly valued, but deep technical specialization is NOT required.

The emphasis is on systems leadership and execution.

Why This Role Is Unique

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Shape a high‑visibility, high‑impact initiative at the intersection of AI and workforce readiness
  • Lead work that prioritizes practical outcomes and public value, not just theory
  • Operate with meaningful influence over program design and direction
  • Partner with institutions across education, workforce, and community ecosystems
