Clyde's of Gallery Place (owned by Clyde's Restaurant Group), is seeking an experienced General Manager for one of the DMV's highest-volume, most dynamic upscale dining concepts. Located in the heart of Penn Quarter, steps from Capital One Arena, this Restaurant General Manager opportunity is ideal for a senior restaurant leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As General Manager, you'll have full P&L ownership, a strong culinary partner in the Executive Chef, and the backing of a company that has been a Washington DC restaurant institution since 1963. WHAT YOU WILL OWN AS A GENERAL MANAGER

  • Set the hospitality tone and lead from the floor — this is a hands-on restaurant leadership role
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing FOH management team
  • Own the full P&L — annual financial planning, cost control, and monthly inventory
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution and food cost
  • Drive a bar program that's vibrant, consistent, and profitable
  • Maintain a pristine, guest-ready facility at all times
  • Run weekly manager meetings, daily pre-shifts, and performance reviews
  • Build a culture of retention where restaurant managers and hourly team members want to grow and stay

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A GENERAL MANAGER - QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager in an upscale, high-volume dining environment
  • Proven track record in FOH operations, team development, and financial management
  • Experience leading large teams in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Strong bar management and beverage program knowledge
  • Ability to drive an exceptional guest experience while managing costs and hitting financial targets
  • Clear, confident communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • A coaching mindset — you develop restaurant managers, you don't just manage them
