Accounting Clerk
Location-Cincinnati, Ohio
Pay rate - 20 to 22 per hour
Shift - First shift
Role Type - Contract to hire with our client

Our client is looking for an Accounting Clerk to supportboth accounting and administrative functions in a busy office environment. This position will assist with accounts payable tasks, general clerical duties, and daily office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with spreadsheets and data on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
• Assist with accounts payable processing including invoice entry, verification, and coding
• Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions or missing documentation
• Support basic accounting tasks such as filing, payment tracking, and maintaining records
• Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting and reconciliation purposes
• Assist with administrative duties including scanning, data entry, maintaining office files, and supporting general office operations
• Help ensure timely processing of invoices and proper documentation for internal reviews
• Work closely with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and support month-end tasks as needed
Skills and Requirements
• Previous experience supporting accounts payable or general accounting functions
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily responsibilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience in an office environment handling administrative tasks
This is an excellent contract to hire opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, supporting a team, and maintaining smooth day-to-day office operations.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
