Specialty Construction Sourcer Job Description: HITT Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Construction Sourcerto join our growing recruitment team and support some of the most critical and hard-to-fill roles across our business. This role may be based out of our Headquarters in Falls Church, VA or in our Dallas, TX regional office. This role reports to HITT's Construction Recruiting Manager and will play an important role in strengthening sourcing capability and recruiting strategy across the broader team. As HITT continues to expand its national footprint and take on increasingly complex projects—including within our Mission Critical portfolio—the need for specialized talent across technical and high-impact functions continues to grow. This role is a key investment in strengthening our ability to identify, engage, and attract top-tier talent in areas where supply is limited and competition is high. This position is designed to deepen our team's capability in proactive sourcing, pipeline development, and targeted recruiting for hard-to-fill roles. The scope of this role will evolve based on business need and hiring priorities, including focus areas such as MEP and Safety along with other specialized functions. The Construction Sourcer will develop a strong understanding of targeted talent pools and bring a thoughtful, resourceful approach to how we identify and engage candidates across the country. The ideal candidate brings prior recruiting experience within the construction industry and is energized by the challenge of finding and engaging niche talent, particularly passive candidates. Responsibilities Specialized Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Lead full cycle recruiting for focused roles across HITT's national footprint, with an emphasis on hard-to-fill and highly technical positions supporting our Mission Critical and other complex project types Partner with hiring managers and regional business unit leadership to understand evolving talent needs, including those tied to large-scale, technically complex projects nationwide Deliver a high-quality, relationship-driven candidate experience, particularly for passive and highly sought-after candidates Serve as a credible and knowledgeable point of contact for candidates, effectively representing HITT's projects, culture, and value proposition Maintain consistent communication and engagement throughout the recruiting process, ensuring transparency and trust Proactive Sourcing & Market Intelligence Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive talent across targeted markets, competitors, and regions Conduct talent mapping and pipeline development for key roles, geographies, and project types, with a strong focus on Mission Critical and new project work types Leverage advanced sourcing techniques (Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and industry groups) to build diverse and high-quality candidate pipelines Build and maintain long-term relationships with construction professionals, creating a network that extends beyond immediate hiring needs Provide insight into talent availability, compensation trends, and competitor activity to inform hiring strategy, workforce planning, and targeted recruiting campaigns Talent Strategy, Market Insights & Employer Branding Develop and execute targeted recruiting campaigns to attract specialized talent across key markets and project types Partner with HR leadership and Marketing to strengthen HITT's position as an employer of choice for construction professionals, including messaging, outreach strategies, and talent engagement approaches Conduct competitive and market analysis to understand talent availability, competitor positioning, and emerging trends within industry relevant hiring Use market insights and data to inform recruiting strategy, influence hiring decisions, and proactively address talent gaps Contribute to the development of targeted outreach and engagement strategies that resonate with highly specialized and passive candidate populations Support the development of an early career pipeline for specialty talent, partnering with campus recruiting to build awareness, engagement, and entry-level pathways into HITT Hiring Manager Partnership Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers by aligning on role requirements, candidate profiles, and search strategy upfront Provide guidance on market realities, candidate expectations, and competitive positioning—particularly within specialized talent markets Influence hiring decisions through thoughtful candidate evaluation, feedback synthesis, and market perspective Process Excellence & Team Contribution Manage requisitions in Workday, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of candidate activity and hiring progress Coordinate interview processes, feedback collection, and offer execution with a high level of organization and attention to detail Partner with the broader recruiting team to share sourcing strategies, tools, and best practices, serving as a go-to resource and helping elevate overall team capability in proactive, strategic sourcing Support employer branding and targeted outreach efforts specific to specialty and technical talent communities Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred 3–5+ years of recruiting experience, with required experience supporting construction or related industries (e.g., general contracting, engineering, or building trades) Direct experience recruiting for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) or other specialty construction roles strongly preferred; candidates with demonstrated success in this space will be prioritized Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring for hard-to-fill or specialized roles Strong sourcing expertise required, including LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced Boolean search techniques Proven ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates Strong understanding of the construction industry or ability to quickly develop technical acumen in MEP disciplines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with both candidates and hiring managers Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience using an ATS required; Workday experience strongly preferred Experience developing targeted sourcing or recruiting campaigns and partnering with stakeholders (e.g., HR leadership, Marketing) on employer branding or talent attraction strategies preferred Data-driven mindset with the ability to use insights to inform recruiting strategy Collaborative, proactive, and resourceful approach to problem-solving Comfortable working in an in-office environment, with four days on-site required HITT Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
