Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our growing
Hospital Medicine team at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, Connecticut.

7 on / 7 off Hospitalist schedule, a supportive clinical environment, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a

About Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Charlotte Hungerford Hospital serves as a vital healthcare hub for
Northwestern Connecticut and surrounding communities.
Our Hospital Medicine program is expanding to meet growing patient demand, with a strong emphasis on:
- Improving patient throughput and reducing ED wait times
- Enhancing care coordination and continuity
- Driving quality outcomes and patient safety
- Supporting community primary care providers with inpatient management

Hospitalist Program Highlights- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (block schedule for optimal work-life balance)
- Daily Census: 45 patients (shared between day and night providers)
- Admissions: 5-10 per day
- Staffing Model: Typically 2 providers on per shift
- ICU Model: Closed ICU with specialty and intensivist support
- Environment: Collegial, team-based Hospital Medicine program
- Scope: Bread-and-butter Internal Medicine with strong subspecialty backup
