Schedule: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM 35-40 hours/week 5 days/week

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Lab Technologist to support an acute-care pathology department. This role requires hands-on experience in clinical laboratory operations, with a strong background in chemistry and hematology, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. There is potential for conversion to a permanent role following successful completion of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols
• Conduct diagnostic testing in chemistry and hematology
• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and proper documentation of lab results
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and care
• Utilize laboratory systems and equipment efficiently during assigned shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) license (NYSED)
• Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
• Associate's Degree from an accredited laboratory technology program
• Strong background in chemistry and hematology
• Ability to work overnight shifts independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science or related field
• BLS certification
• Prior experience in an acute-care or hospital laboratory setting
