SAP Support Lead – Manufacturing Operations
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Support Lead to oversee production support and continuous improvement initiatives across our SAP landscape, with a focus on Manufacturing Operations. This role will lead day-to-day support activities, ensure system stability, and partner closely with business stakeholders to optimize manufacturing processes within SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP production support for Manufacturing Operations, ensuring system availability, performance, and issue resolution
- Act as the primary point of contact for SAP-related incidents, service requests, and escalations
- Manage and prioritize support tickets (L2/L3), ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs
- Collaborate with business users in manufacturing, supply chain, and operations to understand issues and implement solutions
- Drive root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to reduce recurring issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (functional, technical, Basis, integration) to resolve complex issues
- Support and enhance SAP modules such as PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), and WM/EWM
- Oversee transport management, testing, and deployment of fixes and enhancements
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge sharing, and support processes are maintained
- Lead and mentor a team of SAP support analysts or offshore resources
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization
- Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in coordination with IT teams
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in SAP support or functional roles, with strong focus on Manufacturing
- Deep knowledge of SAP modules such as PP, MM, QM, and/or WM/EWM
- Experience leading production support teams and managing ticket queues
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (production planning, shop floor execution, inventory management)
- Experience with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex system issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
