About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) to spearhead its global technology strategy and capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that AI, digital innovation, data systems, and IT infrastructure are in line with the organization's mission, enhancing its effectiveness, and accelerating conservation outcomes worldwide. This role involves strategic leadership, vision, and the development of a digital roadmap that supports collaboration and operational efficiency. The CITO will also oversee a large team of IT professionals, manage cybersecurity, and strengthen data governance practices. A strong commitment to people leadership, the ability to inspire high performance, and a service-oriented approach are essential. Applicants for the CITO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 5-10 years' experience in a senior executive IT role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing enterprise-wide IT and digital strategies, advising on AI, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, and leading large-scale digital initiatives. Deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, ERP, data platforms, and global IT operations is required, as is experience in managing IT budgets and performance metrics. A background in mission-driven or global nonprofit organizations is strongly preferred, along with a passion for leveraging technology to make a global impact. The role demands a leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a strong commitment to the values and mission of the organization.
