Accounting Analyst

Position Overview:

This role supports monthly close and product actualization reporting, tracking product purchases and sales (volume, price, and customer). The analyst works closely with commercial teams, schedulers, and accounting groups to ensure accuracy in financial and operational data.

Top End Requirements:

· Strong advanced Excel skills (must pass testing)

· Accounting/Finance background

· Analytical experience with data/reporting

· SAP or Oil & Gas exposure preferred

Responsibilities

· Record and initiate product purchases and sales in SAP S4

· Support monthly close (accruals, actuals, reconciliations)

· Analyze and report on product transactions (gas purchases/sales)

· Resolve discrepancies in inventory, volumes, and invoicing

· Work with schedulers, traders, and internal teams to ensure data accuracy

· Monitor SLAs with offshore teams

· Assist with audits and data validation

· Support end-to-end deal-to-dollar processes

· Participate in team projects and process improvements

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiables)

· Bachelor’s degree

Advanced Excel skills REQUIRED:

· VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP

· HLOOKUP

· Pivot tables

· Creating graphs from pivot tables

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

· Self-starter with strong attention to detail

· Organized with ability to meet deadlines

· Ability to influence and collaborate without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

· Accounting or Finance degree

· SAP / SAP S4 experience (can be trained)

· Oil & Gas industry experience (nice to have, not required)
