Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing role is responsible for revenue-generating online sales, brand
representation, and customer communication across multiple platforms.
This is not an entry-level position and not just a listing job.
Candidates must already have e-commerce experience, strong technical ability, and a working understanding of AI as a productivity tool. Training will be provided on CFF systems and standards, but core skills must already exist.

Core Responsibilities
Sales Platform Management
Manage and optimize listings across multiple platforms, including:
● eBay
● Amazon
● Facebook Marketplace
● Shopify (primary website platform)
● Instagram / TikTok (commerce-focused)
Daily Responsibilities
Product Listings
● Create accurate, high-quality product listings
● Write clear, SEO-conscious titles and descriptions
● Accurately document condition, specifications, and value
● Use basic HTML/CSS where required for formatting
● Cross-post and optimize listings per platform standards
Inventory & Data Management
● Maintain alignment between listings and actual inventory
● Prevent overselling across platforms
● Track inventory and listing status using Google Sheets
● Coordinate with warehouse and internal inventory systems
Content & Brand Messaging
● Create written content explaining:
● Why buy from CFF
● Commercial vs residential equipment differences
● Value of just-off-lease and pre-owned equipment
● Support SEO-driven and educational marketing efforts
Customer Interaction
● Respond to customer inquiries professionally and accurately
● Explain pricing, condition, shipping, and value
● Build trust before and after the sale
● Represent the CFF brand consistently
Required Experience & Skills (Non‐Negotiable)
Candidates must meet all of the following:
● Experience with at least two online sales or e-commerce platforms (eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Shopify, etc.)
● Basic coding knowledge (HTML/CSS or similar)
● Strong familiarity with Google Sheets
● Filters
● Structured data entry
● Basic formulas
● Understanding of AI and how to use it effectively
● Writing and optimizing content
● Improving efficiency
● Refining prompts and validating outputs
● Strong written communication skills
● Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
● Ability to learn through instruction, manuals, and self-guided research
● Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
● High attention to accuracy and detail
Additional Required Qualifications
● Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
● Must be able to obtain required clearances
● CFF regularly works in schools and government buildings
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
● Ability to pass a drug test
These requirements are mandatory for employment and continued assignment eligibility.
AI Usage Expectations
AI is a required tool in this role.
Employees must:
● Use AI to assist with drafting and optimizing listings and content
● Review, edit, and verify all AI-assisted work
● Be able to explain how and why AI was used
● Take full responsibility for the final output
Misuse of AI, automation without review, or inaccurate representation is treated as a performance issue.
Pay, Overtime & Probationary Period
Compensation
● Starting pay range: $18 – $30 per hour
● Based on experience, technical ability, and demonstrated performance
● Overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 hours per work week, in accordance
with applicable law
90-Day Probationary Period
All new hires begin with a 90-day probationary period.
This period is used to:
● Confirm the candidate is a good fit for CFF
● Confirm CFF is the right fit for the candidate
● Evaluate performance, reliability, and role competency
During this period:
● Employment may continue, end, or the employee may choose to leave
● This is an opportunity to demonstrate value and consistency
Performance during the first 90 days determines long-term hourly pay and role progression.
