Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Central Vermont, for a Business Development Officer.
The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building long-term relationships with clients, and supporting the financial needs of businesses. Responsibilities include analyzing financial information, delivering excellent customer service, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve organizational goals. The Business Development Officer will also promote the bank’s services within the community to drive growth and foster strong partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Familiarity with banking regulations and local markets is a plus
- Proactive attitude with a focus on community enrichment
- Minimum of one to three years of banking, sales, relationship management, or financial services experience
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Customer-focused mindset with interest in business development
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with digital banking and mobile tools
- Must have reliable transportation between NSB locations
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, as needed
Compensation
Base compensation range at hire (dependent on experience): $80,080-$84,760 annually
