About the job

MedSci Healthcare (HKEX: 2415) is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager / Director to help build our U.S. healthcare growth solutions business in Irvine, CA. This is a founding commercial role for someone who can drive growth across clinic and patient education solutions, medical content and evidence support, clinical research-related services, physician engagement, and AI-enabled healthcare solutions.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial commercial leader who can open doors, build relationships, generate pipeline, shape client needs into practical solution packages, and close early customer engagements.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable selling consultatively, operating in a fast-moving environment, and helping define go-to-market strategy as part of a growing U.S. business.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities in the U.S.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across healthcare, life sciences, and related sectors
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across clinics, healthcare brands, biotech, medtech, and wellness companies
  • Lead discovery calls, qualify client needs, and help structure practical solution packages and pilot opportunities
  • Drive opportunities from outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Collaborate with internal medical, research, data, content, and AI-enabled delivery teams
  • Provide market feedback to refine positioning, messaging, and commercial packaging
  • Help shape the foundation of MedSci's U.S. commercial growth strategy

What you'll help sell

  • Clinic growth and patient education solutions, including patient communication, content support, and selected website/content optimization services for specialty clinics
  • Medical content and evidence support, including scientific writing, literature review, research communication, and evidence-backed content development
  • Clinical research-related support, including real-world evidence, biostatistics, and selected research support services
  • Physician engagement and commercial enablement solutions, including HCP communication and medical-commercial content support
  • Cross-border market entry and localization support for healthcare, life science, and wellness companies in the U.S. and China
  • AI-enabled research, evidence, and content workflows that improve delivery speed, structure, and scalability

Who you'll work with

  • Pharma, biotech, and medtech companies

  • Medical affairs, commercial, clinical, and strategy stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, CRO, medical communications, or related B2B sales / business development roles
  • Strong consultative selling and business development skills
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline and close new business opportunities
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and proposal development skills
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage, hands-on environment
  • Experience selling services, solution packages, or complex B2B offerings

Preferred qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred:

  • CRO / clinical research / RWE / biostatistics
  • Medical communications / scientific content / evidence support
  • Healthcare marketing / physician engagement / provider solutions
  • AI-enabled healthcare or life science solutions
  • Cross-border healthcare or U.S.–China commercialization

Compensation

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission

OTE will vary based on level and experience
