Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

We’re looking for a sharp, organized, numbers-loving Accounting Assistant to support daily financial operations in a fun and inspiring museum environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys accounting structure but also wants to work somewhere with personality, history, and purpose.

What You’ll Do

Accounts Payable

• Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox
• Accurately process, code, and enter invoices using proper GL allocation
• Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up when needed
• Maintain documentation and internal approvals

Accounts Receivable & Reconciliation

• Support Accounts Receivable processing
• Perform credit card and expense reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Help prepare financial reports and analysis when requested

General Accounting Support

• Data entry, filing, scanning, and record keeping with high accuracy
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies
• Prioritize and manage deadlines efficiently
• Work confidently in a fast-paced setting

What We Need From You

Required

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Recent experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting support role
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Proficient with accounting software and Excel (formulas, reconciliations, reporting)
• Strong accuracy and organizational skills
• Able to multitask in a high-energy environment

Nice to Have

• Bilingual skills are a bonus, not required
• Experience supporting accounting across departments
