About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Firm’s partners, clients and others within the Firm with our accounts payable and receivable processes. Candidates must be detail oriented, flexible and highly committed to quality, teamwork and supporting Firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Processing vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and timely entry
  • Managing vendor records, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and processing check runs and electronic payments
  • Performing credit card reconciliations and ensuring accurate expense coding and documentation
  • Entering and applying incoming payments (checks, ACH, wires, online)
  • Maintaining accurate AR records and supporting proper posting and allocation of transactions
  • Assisting with internal inquiries and discrepancies related to payments and account balances
  • Generating and distributing billing, time entry, and AR-related reports for internal use
  • Assisting with month-end close, reconciliations, and maintaining organized financial records
  • Supporting internal controls, process improvements, and ad hoc accounting projects as needed
  • Supporting the accounting team with administrative tasks, as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned


Qualifications


Required:

  • Must be detail-oriented, enjoy working with numbers and performing data entry
  • Must have an exemplary customer service mindset, be highly motivated and work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High school diploma


Preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience in an accounting role within a law firm or office environment
  • Prior data entry experience
  • College degree in Accounting or a related field


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Sitting for up to four hours at a time
  • Bending and stooping as needed


Salary:

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour (dependent on applicable experience and education)

Schedule:
