Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, prototyping, testing, and production of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems. This role contributes to both new product development and improvements to existing products in a fast-paced engineering environment.

This position involves full lifecycle engineering—from concept development through design, prototyping, validation, production support, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, mechanically strong problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, high-accountability environment and enjoys working directly with hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using sound engineering principles
  • Improve existing products for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Participate across all phases of the product lifecycle: concept, development, prototyping, testing, validation, production, and sustainment
  • Create and maintain technical data packages, including:
    • Engineering and manufacturing drawings
    • Bills of materials (BOMs)
    • Assembly documentation
    • Manufacturing process documentation
    • Work instructions
  • Support prototype builds, assembly, testing, evaluation, and first article inspections
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans
  • Participate in design reviews and prepare technical reports and summaries
  • Coordinate prototype parts and assemblies for testing
  • Troubleshoot design issues and support corrective actions
  • Conduct root-cause investigations for:
    • Non-conforming products
    • Production issues
    • Supplier/vendor concerns
    • Field or customer-reported defects
  • Support engineering change requests and design updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, inspection, vendors, and customers
  • Assist in defining project scopes, specifications, and statements of work
  • Ensure proper handling of technical data in compliance with policies and regulations

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

1. SolidWorks Proficiency

  • Strong experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
  • Ability to manage technical documentation effectively

2. Mechanical Machine Design

  • Experience designing complex mechanical systems and moving assemblies
  • Strong foundation in statics, dynamics, and kinematics

3. Electromechanical / Motion System Design

  • Experience with electromechanical integration and motor-driven systems
  • Exposure to automation or motion systems
  • Experience with brushless servo motors is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or manufacturing
