Lead Electrical Designer
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 15+ years' of experience as an Electrical Designer in the industry
- Small / Medium Project Lead experience
- Extensive oil & gas background at EPC company (oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry)
- Experience with large onshore projects
- AutoCAD software experience (2D)
- Large project lead experience
- Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements.
- Ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Plus:
- Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
- AutoCAD 3D
- SPI (Intools) software experience
- CADWORKS software experience
- PDMS
- Field Experience

Day to day:
Client is seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to join its growing Houston, Texas office. This role supports a surge in recently awarded EPC work, including several large-scale projects across the midstream sector.
The Lead Electrical Designer will serve as the discipline lead on assigned projects, taking ownership of electrical design activities from execution through delivery. Current work includes onshore U.S. projects supporting cryogenic facilities, compression facilities, and midstream infrastructure
While this role does not include direct reports, the Lead Electrical Designer will work closely with a multidisciplinary project team, providing technical leadership, coordinating design efforts, and reviewing work produced by other designers to ensure quality and consistency.
The Houston-based onshore EPC team is approximately eight members today and actively growing, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping project execution and supporting Audubon's continued expansion in the midstream and energy markets.
