General Dentist Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Provide a full range of dental services, including restorations, crowns, bridges, extractions, veneers, whitening, and preventive care
• Utilize digital X-rays and modern dental technology
• Administer local anesthesia and ensure patient comfort
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Conduct oral cancer screenings
• Prescribe medications as needed
• Maintain compliance with sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
• Take impressions for dental appliances such as dentures and mouthguards

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
• Active Kansas dental license (or eligibility)
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred
• 1-2 years of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
