The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the area of satellite precipitation estimation using machine learning and applications.
This position requires a Ph.D. in civil engineering, environmental science, Earth science, or a related quantitative field. The preferred candidate will have experience in satellite precipitation estimation, bias correction, and data merging, data fusion using machine learning methods, as well as strong written and oral communication skills and a solid publication record. The candidate will join Dr. Phu Nguyen's research group and contribute to ongoing projects supported by federal and private funding sources.
