Corporate Development Associate

CarterPierce is partnering with a category-defining frontier AI company building developing cutting edge defense technology. Already generating meaningful DoD traction, the company is developing AI systems that enable real-time control of autonomous military assets.

This position will work directly with the CEO and leadership team at the intersection of artificial intelligence, national security, and next-generation warfare.

The Role

• Partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives
• Support fundraising efforts, investor communications, and board materials
• Build and develop M&A pipeline (strategy through execution)
• Conduct deep research across AI, defense, and government budgets (DoD, DARPA, etc.)
• Assist with go-to-market strategy, including major government contract bids
• Drive FP&A, budgeting, and internal strategic planning

Qualifications

• 2–4 years at a top management consulting firm
• Strong interest in AI, defense, and national security
• High intellectual curiosity and ability to ramp quickly in complex domains
• Demonstrated top performance and upward trajectory
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
