Entry-Level Accountant Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, fixed assets, and expenses.
• Prepare balance sheet and select income statement reconciliations.
• Help prepare monthly financial statements and internal management reports.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and help resolve banking issues.
• Support accounting systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable/receivable and special projects.

Entry-Level Accountant Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships and recent graduates encouraged to apply).
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
