Accountant – Property & Casualty Insurance

Salary:
$70,000 – $95,000 + bonus

Accountant Key Responsibilities: Insurance Accountant
• Support day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with month-end close processes including account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules for insurance-related transactions
• Work closely with the CFO to help build accounting processes and internal controls as the company scales
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting across multiple entities and locations
• Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate reporting in a growing insurance organization

Accountant Qualifications: Insurance Accountant
• 1–5 years of accounting experience
• Direct property & casualty or real estate–related insurance accounting experience required
• Experience within property, rental, or similar insurance environments strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of autonomy
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organization
