Property Accountant

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

• Responsible for monthly accounting for a portfolio of properties both on the commercial and residential side.
• Day-to-day accounting and month end responsibilities which include bank reconciliations, booking accruals, tying out balance sheet accounts.
• File personal property declarations, income and expense filings with the towns.
• Ensure property and real estate taxes are paid timely.
• Assist with the budget.
• Assist with external audit for certain assigned properties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Desired Qualities and Qualifications of the Property Accountant:

• BS in Accounting.
• Real estate/property accounting experience either in industry or working with real estate clients in public accounting.
