Family Medicine Physician-Faculty
Ballad Health Medical Associates is seeking a Board-Certified, Core Faculty positionfor Ballad Health's Family Medicine Residency Program, established in 2015 and based in a 116-bed community hospital.
This is an employed position for Dr. S. Hughes Melton Family Residency Program, located at Johnston Memorial Hospital in historic Abingdon, Virginia.
The ideal candidate must be Family Medicine board certified with training in full-scope family medicine including a desire to provide patient care in different settings. Physician must have a strong commitment to graduate medical education. This is a full-time position with the following required duties: resident supervision in the clinic and hospital, attendance at meetings, candidate interviews, curriculum development, and research; and direct patient care and clinical activities working with our residents. The main focus of this position will primarily be the teaching of residents, but will also have responsibilities for teaching medical students and oversight of advanced practice providers. Full-spectrum practitioners are highly desirable.
