Job title:: Mechanical Engineer

Duration:: 3 Years

Location:: Lexington, MA 02421 (100% ONSITE)

Shift:: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday (8AM - 5:00PM)

Essential Functions

• Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
• Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
• May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

Experience Preferred:

• Should have 4-5 Years or Mechanical Designing Experience & Mechanical Systems
• Should have 5 Years of experience in Solidworks 3D Computer-Aided Design(CAD)
• Should have 2 Years of experience in Aircraft/Missile/Satellite System & Electronic Packaging

Required Skills:

• Experience in mechanical design, assembly and environmental testing of high reliability electronic, electro-optic, mechanisms, or opto-mechanical systems for DoD or aerospace applications.
• Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

Skills Preferred:

• Demonstrated experience with the development of opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical systems utilized on spacecraft and/or aircraft strongly preferred.
• Experience in DoD, military, and/or aerospace applications highly preferred
• Opto-Mechanical experience would be highly preferred

Education Preferred:

• The Ideal candidate should currently holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Should have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering OR Aerospace.
• A Master’s degree is a plus (there is some flexibility on the years of experience if you have a Master’s) i.e. Master’s and 3+ years relevant experience or Bachelor’s and 7+ years relevant experience.
