Title: Team Lead

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Purpose of the Position:

ATeamLead I is charged withoverseeingthe safety, quality, productivity, and traininglinkedtotheir assignedcost center. The ability to effectively communicatetothe team is crucial to the continuedsuccessand developmentof the personnel and equipment managed. Through resourcing of materials,timelyset-ups,anddirecting of equipment operators, theTeamLead I position is tasked with the short- and long-term success of theirassignedequipment.

The position reports to theManufacturingSupervisor.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

• Facilitate priorities based on direction of supervision

• Is the primary developer of personnel on assignedequipment.Leads spot correction training, scheduled training, andidentifiesbarriers to development of their team

• Facilitate work instruction accuracy

• Owner of the continued Lean/6S progression on their equipment

• Constantly works to ensure equipment is exceeding performance metrics

• Ensurestimelyjob changeovers byutilizingteam as effectively as possible

• Coordinateswith theDepartment Lead and Plant Supervisorto fulfilWork Orders

• Maintains communication withInventory Control, Purchasing, and PlanningTeamsto ensure materials are accurately utilized in an efficient manner.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Mathematical and analytical skills

• Possess proven mechanical ability oraptitude

• Accuracy and attention to detailrequired

• Prior training and development experience

• Knowledge of automated systems or the willingness to learn

Education and/or Experience:

• Associates Degree in OperationsField preferred

• 1-2yrs.of production experience

• Ability to interpret work instruction and use key performance indicators to enact change

• Understanding of Lean/6Smethodology

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• The employee maybe requiredtooccasionallylift, carry,pushor pull up to70pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Occasionalbending, crouching, twisting, reaching

• Employees maybe requiredto wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
