Laundry Aide (Long Term Care - 8a-3p)

Brownfield Care Center is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Assistant to join our team. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for laundering and cleaning linens and garments to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels.

Duties:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures
• Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
• Follow proper handling and storage techniques for clean and soiled linens
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment
• Assist with inventory management by keeping track of linen supplies
• Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens to guest rooms

Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a similar setting
• Familiarity with dry cleaning procedures is a plus
• Knowledge of different fabric types and their care requirements
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
