Ancillary Specialist

The Ancillary Specialist is responsible for all ancillary product specifications. The individual will qualify and select vendors to develop pricing strategies and product assortments for large-scale projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with the sales team to review ancillary scope and provide creative direction. This includes ancillary ideas, images, and product sheets.
• Effectively sets and meets multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
• Attends internal and external events to enhance education of ancillary products and new offerings.
• Meets with clients, architects and designers to review and present ancillary product options and materials.
• Brainstorming on solutions to meet client aesthetics, budgets, and lead time.
• Prepares and provides creative content for various proposals, including client facing materials that support product, fabric, and finish options with minimal guidance.
• COM Knowledge (aware of fabric application on ancillary items i.e., railroading, off the bolt, pattern overage requirements, pattern matching).
• Clearly articulate ideas in written and verbal formats.
• Basic knowledge of price points; comparing product pricing to assist in identifying alternatives as needed
• Understanding product lead times and their impact on project timelines.
• Gathering RFP pricing as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in related design or ancillary role.
• Proficient in CET, CAP 2020 Worksheet, Trueview, Mural
• Basic knowledge with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and google suites.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must work well in team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
