OverviewReporting into the Chief Accounting Officer, the Accounting Manager will support reporting, prepare financial statements, assist with complex transactions, develop controls, enhance forecasting, and coordinate audits.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with accounting analysis for complex transactions (e.g. acquisitions, intercompany, lease accounting, etc.) under IFRS.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accounts reconciliations and variance analysis for certain accounting areas.
- Own key balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items and aging balances.
- Oversees the daily operations of accounting team members including review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analyses to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of robust internal control systems, support external audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ICFR compliance, including controls execution, testing, and remediation.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process.
- Support the consolidation of financial results.
- Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment on business initiatives.
- Support budgeting processes performed by the FP&A Team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline close processes, reduce manual work, and enhance scalability as the business grows.
- Support implementation and optimization of ERP systems and accounting tools, including process documentation and user training.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to accounting staff, including performance management and succession planning.
- Prepare materials and presentations for senior management, as needed.
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- US CPA required
- Background in public accounting or audit-focused roles
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Workday)
- Strong communication skills
