UPMC Presbyterian is looking for a seasoned Interventional Technologist to step into a leadership role in our IR Operating Room as a Lead Interventional Technologist.

Responsibilities:
- Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
- Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
- Demonstrates advance knowledge in software application and techniques and the budget management of supplies.
- Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
- Performs all job responsibilities of an Advanced IR Tech II.
- Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
- Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.
- Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology.
- Minimum of 3 years IR experience require.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- ARRT Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
