Executive Sales Representative

Xylem Water Sales and Services is hiring a Sales Representative to manage and grow a well-established territory within Xylem's Light Industry Division covering the Columbus, OH area. We provide cutting-edge water treatment solutions for high-purity and wastewater applications across a variety of industries.

In this role, you will work directly with clients to specify and sell tailored water treatment solutions, with a strong emphasis on Xylem's preventative maintenance services. You'll serve as the primary point of contact throughout the customer lifecycleensuring satisfaction, fostering retention, and driving year-over-year business growth. Key responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening customer relationships through on-site visits within the assigned territory, as well as engaging clients via multiple communication channels to close deals and provide ongoing support. You'll respond to inquiries with expert product recommendations and guide opportunities through all stages of the sales pipeline using CRM tools, which are also used for forecasting and SIOP planning.

The ideal candidate will have a commercial or industrial water treatment background, and brings a sense of urgency, prioritize safety, and work collaboratively across teams to execute sales strategies and uncover new business opportunities, all while maintaining high service standards and growing sales volume. This person will be required to live in the territory and go into the branch office as needed.

• Plan and manage travel to visit clients and prospects within territory

• Maintain a thorough understanding of company's products and services
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments

• Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience in the water treatment industry.
• Basic knowledge of water treatment systems and methods.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Extensive knowledge of water treatment methods including water softening, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, UV purification, and deionization. Adjacent industry experience could include chemical water treatment for boilers, cooling towers and chillers.

Salary:

The estimated on target earnings (base plus sales incentive) range for this position is $125,000 to $185,000 and a company vehicle. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
