Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a growing organization seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls. This is a hands-on role with visibility to senior leadership and an opportunity to drive process improvements. Candidates coming out of public accounting with CPA credentials and a transition into industry are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee general ledger activity and maintain strong internal controls
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards
• Partner with FP&A and cross-functional teams on reporting and analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff as applicable

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required or strongly preferred
• 58+ years of experience, ideally starting in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) with a transition into industry
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
