Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer to join a multidisciplinary healthcare and performance team focused on injury prevention, evaluation, and musculoskeletal care for an active population. This role is ideal for a clinician who values collaboration, evidence-based practice, and proactive patient education.

The Athletic Trainer will support individuals through acute injury care, rehabilitation, and performance optimization, helping reduce injury risk and improve overall functional outcomes. This is a hands-on, on-site role within a structured, team-based clinical environment.

Full Time Athletic Trainer - Excellent Work Life Balance

Mon-Fri only, no call, no weekends

• Early start (typically 6:30am-2:30pm, some as early as 5-7am)

Done by 2-3pm most days

40 hrs/week

• Work with active duty population - appreciative, motivated patients

Minimum 2 years post BOC experience required

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Injury Management

  • Provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute musculoskeletal injuries
  • Deliver injury prevention strategies, movement education, and recovery protocols
  • Conduct pre-participation assessments and ongoing functional screenings
  • Manage patient care plans and collaborate on referrals for chronic conditions

Performance & Wellness Support

  • Support performance optimization initiatives across multiple wellness domains, including physical readiness, recovery, and education
  • Assist with implementation of evidence-based strategies to reduce injury risk and improve functional performance
  • Educate individuals on proper movement mechanics, self-care, and recovery techniques

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that may include physical therapists, strength and conditioning professionals, dietitians, and other healthcare specialists
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding injury status, return-to-activity planning, and progress tracking
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-centered care environment

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow all applicable state practice acts, regulatory standards, and organizational policies
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical clinical standards at all times

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Graduate of a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program
  • BOC certification (ATC) required
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)

Licensure

  • Unrestricted state license/registration to practice as an Athletic Trainer
  • Ability to obtain in-state licensure as required for employment

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of Athletic Training experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience working with active or physically demanding populations (e.g., occupational health, athletics, clinical settings, performing arts, or similar environments)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Current physical examination and required immunizations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and work in physically active environments
  • Comfort working on-site in variable indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in fast-paced clinical situations
